The glass aventurine
is a particular work invented in Venice on the island of Murano in the first half of the seventeenth century (about 1620).
It is a translucent crystalline paste, inside which are dipped straws or copper crystals with shiny metallic oxides, which create an effect that imitates that of aventurine quartz.
